I Bought a Farm

Bootcamp for small landholders

Have you taken the exciting leap and bought a farm (or want to), and now have a thousand and one questions? You’ve come to the right place. We run a 2-day bootcamp on our farm to help answer those questions.

  • Do you want to look after your animals and your land?

  • Do you want to live the lifestyle that you envisioned when you bought the farm

  • Is it  living up to your expectations?

Our Program

Over 2 days, we explore FARM (Feed, Animals, Restore & Management) and Basic Rural Skills.

01

Feed

We look at how grass grows through the year and the most economical ways to feed your animals. By the way, it’s the grass you grow and graze!

03

Restore

Learning how to restore resilience in your farm by working with nature, and how the landscape functions with the small water cycle, biodiversity, and fire to manage for the extremes in climate.

02

Animals

Working out how much your animals eat and therefore how many you can confidently raise while improving the health of your landscape.

04

Managment

After exploring your ‘why’, we help you develop a property development plan, grazing management plan, drought, fire and flood plans.

“Being new to farming can be intimidating especially when things don’t go quite to plan. Having Andrew on my side has been a great confidence boost and knowledge base. He always makes sure the basics are understood and has endless patience.”

Peter Marles, Gin Gin

“What a great Bootcamp. Thanks to you both so very much for a wonderful session. Loved it. Just exactly what we needed.

Tracey H, Sunshine Coast Hinterland
